LightSpeed™ U15
Diver Light System
The U15 diver light system utilizes LightSpeed® optical communications to pass analog audio communications between handsets underwater. This kit provides a full system capable of demonstrating duplex audio broadcast. Each system includes 2 underwater handsets, cables, headsets and AC/DC chargers for the onboard handset batteries.
The U15 diver handsets are Light & Motion Sola series diver lights outfitted with a LightSpeed optical communication frontend. The communications operating range of the system is mainly determined by water turbidity, i.e. water cloudiness or haziness depending on the amount of particulate in the water. Clear water operating ranges significantly exceeds murky water operating ranges.
